Diamond Day 2009
On October 31, 2009, the Delta-Xi Chapter of Kappa Sigma will be hosting the 5th annual Diamond Days philanthropy baseball game and silent auction at Swayze Field in Oxford, Mississippi.  We would like to invite you to support us in our efforts to raise money for Angel Ranch, a home for neglected children in northern Mississippi.  Each year, the Delta-Xi Chapter raises roughly 40% of Angel Ranch’s operating budget.  Our help is needed more than ever in these tough economic times.

Diamond Days is our biggest philanthropy event of the year.  Last year, we raised over $40,000 and we hope to surpass that amount this year.  Timidly, prior to the game, a cookout will be held at the fraternity house beginning at noon on October 31.  The baseball game will begin at 6pm and the silent auction will continue throughout the night.  Check the monthly newsletter in the future for updates on times.

The chapter’s success is dependant upon your support.  If you would like to donate, please click on the link below and fill out our donor form.  We look forward to seeing you on the 31st in Oxford.

Sincerely,

Garrett Chow

Members of the Delta-Xi colony are very active on campus and in the Oxford community. This fall we have volunteered over 600 hours and $23,000 and are improving every week. By working with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Angel Ranch, and Leap Frog we hope to strengthen our ties in the community.

For volunteer opportunities, contact Garrett Chow at agchow@olemiss.edu.
